Fake the desert until you can make it to the desert. This location is probably one of the top things I miss about Chicago, it was so close to my abode that I frequented it almost every day. Having easy access to lake Michigan is like a dream.
Oh the summer. Being in Chicago made my mind flood with memories of this time last year. I had just found my beautiful sun filled apartment near this beach, my emotions for others ran high. There were definitely some major bumps and turning points in my life this time last year, but once I made it over the hill, I felt invincible. Like everything was falling into place. I felt happy.
Good memories or bad memories, they’re all memories in my book. And they’re all important in shaping who I’ve become.
Shooting this look with Rachel was so much fun. Just like old times. We’ve spent a lot of time wading in the shallow part of this lake, just talking about love, life and everything under the sun. It was always perfect.
And guess what? She’ll be in New York with me in three days. (And so will Brandon!) Stay tuned…
