We’re almost in the ber months so I made the cut

We’re almost in the ber months so I made the cutest pumpkin bagels 🥯🎃 and they were actually easy to make! This is the perfect idea for a cozy fall day, and of course watching your favorite fall movie… I watched over the garden wall! 🍂

Ingredients:
🧡 3 ½ cups bread flour
🧡 food safe twine
🧡 cinnamon sticks for the stem
🧡 yellow & red food coloring for the perfect shade of orange
🧡 1 ⅓ cups water (90 degrees F)
🧡 1 tbsp active dry yeast
🧡 1 tbsp sugar
🧡 1 tbsp kosher salt
🧡 1 egg for egg wash

How to make them:

1. Mix the warm water, yeast and sugar and let it sit until foamy. In a separate bowl mix yellow and red food dye until you get the desired shade of orange and add to the yeast mixture.
2. Add the flour, salt and the yeast to a large bowl and knead until you have a smooth dough.
3. Cover and let rise until noticeably puffed, about 1 hour.
4. Divide into 6-8 pieces and let them rest for about 30 minutes.
5. Using food safe twine tie the bagels to create the pumpkin shape.
6. Bring a large pot of water to a gentle boil and boil the bagels for about 1 minute per side, then transfer to a lined baking sheet.
7. Mix 1 beaten egg + a dash of water and brush over the bagels.
8. Bake at 425°F for about 20–25 minutes

You can also add honey & pumpkin spice to your cream cheese for a touch of sweetness and pumpkin flavor!
