Sometimes I style my looks for fun, for the sake of doing a fashion shoot. Other times, I style them before I am going to go somewhere, with the intention of wearing them somewhere specific. I find it interesting to see fashion bloggers out and about because seeing what they wear in person can sometimes be different than what you’ve seen on their blog.
For a night out in Chicago, perhaps a fancy bar for some romantic cocktails, this Armani Exchange dress is perfect. Even though this dress screams #romance, pairing it with a leather + faux fur moto jacket from Romwe and these accessories gave this look an edge. It’s black lace and perfect for pairing a great statement necklace, like this gold one from Merrin and Gussy, that is bold with a lovely pattern. Patterns on top of patterns work nicely if the clothing piece is a solid color. A good black dress also allows a great statement shoe, such as these wedges from Shoedazzle.
