Sweet little thing.

I was so glad to get out of New York last weekend even if only for one night. Jersey is my little escape since Aaron’s brother and girlfriend live in an apartment there filled with delicious food straight from farms, kombucha and a hammock. I made the best of it by spending the day walking around beautiful nature trails. Allie is a great cook and made delicious lentil burgers. Just sitting outside and talking for hours is something I cherish as this city just doesn’t sleep!

I went and met with the lovely ladies that work at a local vintage store in Brooklyn before my trip. The shop is called Lavai Maria, located in Williamsburg. The owner of the store just happens to be an amazing designer as well! She makes these beautiful dresse from fun prints and fabrics. (I have a horse print one that I’ll be posting soon!). This dress I am wearing here is a vintage gingham dress. They carry a mixture of new, recycled and vintage pieces in the shop. It is a good little curated mix. I was excited to find a gingham dress that made me feel like I belonged at a farm or in a field. I love the lightweight fabric. It’s so easy and carefree, not to mention super adorable!
