As summer approached I made a vow that this summer I would take better care of my hair. My goal for the past year has been to grow it really long and try to make sure it stays healthy. Since I dye my hair and use heat on it often it’s extra important that I take the proper measures to make sure that my hair receives the least amount of damage.
My hair has been the shiniest and healthiest it has been in years. My secret? L’oreal Mythic Oil products. I feel like hair is a huge part of a look and can honestly contribute to an outfit depending on how you wear it. Hair is a huge part of fashion.
I have been testing these products pictured above for the past couple of months and here’s how I’ve been using them and the results I have seen:
L’oreal Mythic Oil Product Review
- Mythic Oil shampoo & conditioner: This shampoo and conditioner combo is like no other. The point of the mythic oil line is that natural oils that are important for the richness of your hairs health are included in every product. Even with the oils being in the products your hair will never feel greasy after using them, which is a huge deal especially for me since my hair tends to be on the greasier side vs. dry. I feel as though this shampoo and conditioner combo would be great for any hair types because of that reason. The smell of every product in this line is also a-maze-ing!
- Mythic oil milk: This product is like gold to me. Since I blow dry my hair nearly after every shower and curl it, I love to spray my hair after a shower with the milk. It is a great detangler but also a great heat protector before blow drying. The great thing about this product is its versatility, you can also use it on dry hair if you choose. When I have dry straight hair and decide to curl it I also spray this product especially on the ends where my hair is the most delicate and damaged.
- Mythic oil: This is the standard “oil” product of the line. This product lasts forever since it is pretty much pure oil and you don’t need to use much of it at all! This product is what gives the hair a lustrous shine that feels like you have literally just stepped out of a salon. Every week or so I use a couple of pumps and lather up the bottom of my hair working upward and tie my hair up in a bun. I let it sit for about fifteen-twenty minutes as a conditioning treatment. Then I’ll shower and leave a little bit of the oil still at the tips of my hair. Once I dry it… my hair is like heaven. It feels almost brand new. I love it!
- Mythic oil masque: I use the masque in pretty much the same way that I use the mythic oil. I love to use the masque on the tips of my hair before I curl it. The consistency of the masque is totally different than the rest of the product line. It is almost satiny and similar to conditioner. The purpose of the masque is to leave it in for a few minutes before rinsing your hair and it helps nourish the hair and it contains argan, avocado, cottonseed and grapeseed to give the hair a beautiful healthy sheen.
Overall this product line gets five out of five stars from me! I absolutely love it and will continue to use it. It is well worth the money. Of course one probably doesn’t need to own the entire line of products, but having a couple of the staples will definitely increase the health of one’s hair. I have noticed a huge improvement this summer and I really believe that my hair has received noticeably less damage from the amount of curling I do to it.
You can read more about this product line on L’oreal’s website here and I believe the product can be purchased in most salons.
I had a lot of fun reviewing the line and I plan to do many more beauty reviews in the future!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
Love,
Brandon Farrington
