In this look: Philip Lim 3.1 blazer (thrifted from Crossroads), Leopard dress from Chicwish, Bag from Romwe, Acne shoes from Oak NYC.
To me, this look is reminiscent of more youthful times. Like in middle school, when everyone started to wear leopard print and spiked cuffs/belts because it was “punk” and “cool”. Sometimes it’s interesting what one can subconsciously choose to wear based on their past. Studded jewelery is making a comeback! I am seeing leather band bracelets with pyramid studs everywhere now. Even piercings can look tasteful. I actually got my belly button pierced in high school, over spring break. (Cliche, right?!) Haha. I need to get a better ring for it though, I’ve had the same old ring for ages.
Anyhow, I am loving the rocker chic edge that people are giving looks nowadays. It’s so great. And I still can’t help but gush over the Olsen twins effortless thrown-together-but-somehow-super-fashionable look.
It might be the fact that I grew up with these girls, watching them have “sleepovers” and parties. I just love their use of blacks, leather, fur and vintage pieces. Their blonde hair and black combo is killer.
Sometimes I wish I could pull of blonde hair just so I can have a good reason wear black all the time. But I feel like it would be a fail like Zooey with blonde hair…
She looked way too weird. I love Zooey’s long dark locks and heavy bangs.
Love,
R.
