Even though it’s mid august and still “summer”, Chicago is starting to cool down and I can’t help but think about my favorite season… fall. And fall makes me think of layers, pretty colors, leaves, trees, and other fall-ish things like pumpkins and cider mills. Yesterday was the event that I co-hosted at Madewell and walking into that store for the first time was magical. Everything was styled so perfectly, and everything felt like it should be hanging in my closet!
What I loved most about their new stock for fall is all of the amazing colors and classic designs. They have plenty of pieces for layering, which is something that I want to focus on more this fall.
The event was awesome and I had so much fun with the Madewell team! They had great little treats like macaroons and champagne for everyone. It was really lovely. I went home with three pieces that I can’t wait to wear:
I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect denim shirt, and wow do they have a selection! It was difficult to choose one, because there were so many washes and styles. This one seemed to work best with me. And the horse print t-shirt… is just perfect, especially with the denim over it. Of course I chose high-waisted jeans! All in all, perfect evening with good friends and great clothes!
