DRESS STYLES.

So many parties, so many outfits to prepare! With summer comes a whole host of events to prepare for. With everything from birthday parties in the garden to cocktail events and weddings, it’s hard to know what kind of dress to go for – especially if you want one which is suitable for all occasions.

You don’t want to splash too much cash on one or two gorgeous outfits only to discover that you can’t wear them to your other parties or events. Make sure you pick out a dress that works with this season’s fashions while still being versatile.

Sequin dresses

You don’t have to look like something from a West End musical while wearing a sequin dress. There are a huge range of highly elegant sequinned occasion dresses that feature discreet and beautifully crafted patterns around the neckline and shoulders for a great vintage look. These are perfect for a formal party or event such as a wedding, theatre trip, or dinner in a prestigious restaurant.

Floral Dresses

Floral dresses look fantastic dressed down a little, with flat shoes and a chunky necklace. Great for bridging the gap between fun and elegant, they can be worn at almost any kind of social gathering or event. If you’re looking to get dressed up, then simply pin your hair up, leaving your shoulders and arms exposed. Try adding a denim jacket to the look and wearing it out during the day for a funky, glam-casual crossover.

Bodycon Dresses

Popular with many catwalk designers in the 1990s, bodycon dresses are now back on the high street. With their figure hugging design they’re a great way to add a little glamour and elegance to your wardrobe. The beauty of these is that they’re very simple and yet very eye-catching. Accessories can be kept to a minimum.

Necklaces, bracelets and rings may only serve to complicate your look, meaning that you don’t have to spend hours deliberating over how to wear your new dress. Just throw it on, hair up or down, and wherever you’re going, you’re sure to take centre stage.

Chiffon Dresses

A wonderful summer material that catches the light and moves gently with the breeze, chiffon dresses are great if you’re planning to attend an event that’s outside. If the weather looks like it might not hold up, don’t worry. Add a pashmina in white or black to your outfit and you can keep warm in style.
