Mother nature keeps having bad days and instead of spaced out occasional flurries we keep getting dry days and then out of nowhere 10 feet of snow is dumping down from the sky. It’s beautiful for the first day until it all freezes over and the sidewalks turn into ice rinks.
Lucky for me patterned dress pants and striped sweaters look so wonderful together and they keep me warm! The fashion week nonsense of wearing few layers and no heavy coat is finally over. I can now return to piling on as many layers, coats and scarves as I possibly can.
These two key pieces I am wearing today are both from Ann Taylor’s new A-list collection. The collection features a lot of bold stripes, patterned pants and a new take on the classic trench. Obviously I am all about those styles right now since I am so into menswear inspired looks as well as the whole Sherlock theme. The pieces are clean and fresh and could definitely be incorporated in so many different ways, definitely the perfect pieces for a wardrobe remix. It has a modern feel but with pieces like the classic trench it it keeps the timeless feel.
It’s a ready to wear when you are collection so definitely check it out and see if anything suits your fancy!
Lastly, Ann Taylor is holding a style on call event so feel free to take part in that:
