New York and LA are known as some of the style capitals in America. It’s obvious that those two cities also offer glorious landscapes as backgrounds which definitely accent an outfit. It’s interesting to think about how cities and one’s geographical location can influence how they dress — I definitely dress differently in New York than I did when I lived in Michigan.
Bloomingdale’s is introducing their new spring line and it is inspired by these two cities and this idea. Meet Sunset + Spring – your “style soulmate”. It’s important to explore new things and one can really surprise themselves with how they feel about certain styles once they wear them for a while. I really thought I disliked suspenders… until I wore them for a day and now my closet is overflowing with them. Bloomingdale’s has also expanded their new department which is centered around their young contemporary line. The pieces are almost all under $100 so definitely check that out!
This little crop top + skirt set by MINKPINK is something daring and unlike my normal style, but I love to experiment. This outfit felt so right at Coney Island by the beach. It’s such a comfortable carefree set, just perfect for spring and summer.
What are some trends you all are interested in experimenting with?
Love,
R.

In this look… MINKPINK set from Bloomingdale’s and boots from Wolverine.
