I can’t believe I found this dress by chance. Last year at NYFW my friend Meneka wore this dress and I was in awe. I loved the sleeves and everything about this dress. I am a sucker for a good vintage sequin dress. This one was just too perfect. When Meneka told me it was vintage I had that immediate sinking feeling of “Well that means I’ll never own it.” Until I walked into Beacon’s Closet in Williamsburg and there it was… the dress! I held it up in excitement to find that it was MY SIZE. It was honestly meant to be.

The rest is history. Here is the dress I longed for and a year later right before fashion week, I found it. I really do believe that everything happens for a reason.

Love,

You look so amazing in that dress! Usually it’s hard to find vintage dresses that fit right. Did you have to alter it?

Thanks! I thought id have to shorten it which could be hard with all of the beadwork so I got around by belting it 🙂
