When in Michigan, I know I’m in Ann Arbor when I’m trying my best not to trip over hippies on the sidewalk covered in colorful clothing made of hemp. The hidden downstairs vintage shops are a good sign too. In Ann Arbor I feel like I’m in a real life version of the movie Across The Universe. Which is obviously how I would envision my life. (One of my biggest desires is a VW bus to ride around in with all of my clothes.)
But really though, considering Ann Arbor is a university town, it’s amazing! In my experience uni-towns can be kind of overwhelming, frat parties and all. But Ann Arbor seems to do a good job of masking all of that with peace vibes.
This is my second look for H&M’s 50 States of Fashion campaign! If you haven’t heard yet, H&M is holding a contest on this here page for Instagrammers to enter using the hash tag #HMshoponlineXX (replace the XX with your state abbreviation) on your own photos wearing H&M swag for a chance to win a gift card or even a trip to NYFW. This is all in celebration of the greatest news… H&M finally opened a web store for it’s US lovers.
In this look I am wearing nearly head-to-toe H&M. I am wearing a lovely denim dress (that fits like magic!), a beautiful aztec-ish printed jacket that vibes Ann Arbor for sure, a raw suede tassel bag and little black leather ankle boots. Definitely a look I’d wear a lot during Michigan summers.
Love you all! I hope the sun decides to come out today. It’s gloomy here in NYC.
IN THIS LOOK…
