How I felt inspired to be the best version of myself.
Today I’d like to take the time to talk about embracing change and celebrating it. This fall I experienced many changes in my life. It is drastically different than the fall I experienced last year which was full of loss, my brother had passed away and I ended a relationship. I found myself in a different position this year, rediscovering who I am and who I want to be.
This year I took a lot of steps towards being more healthy. I play hockey twice a week, I eat healthier and I got a gym membership. All of these things resulted in me feeling so much more like the best version of myself. Eating better helped my hair grow super long, which was something I’ve wanted for years now. Just a couple of years ago I was clipping in extensions every single day. I felt so confident in myself when my hair was as long as I could make it appear. But making these small life changes got me to where I am today and my hair is so long because of my healthy choices and I don’t need clip in extensions anymore and I wake up feeling like myself more than ever! It always makes me so happy that I did this for myself and achieved a goal.
This fall I entered a new relationship that makes me extremely happy. Christopher is one of the best people I’ve ever met in my life. And this fall we got very close after meeting in the summer, and it was also the first time that I’ve dyed my hair in a few years. As the seasons change I like to think of switching up my hair, and with this new amazing relationship I wanted a fresh beginning! I got some lighter pieces added to my hair and I’m using the best products to keep it as healthy as possible.
I identify so strongly with the women in the Herbal Essences video because they’re just like you and I. They have their own personal ideas of what gives them encouragement even if it is something as simple as a haircut. It’s always important to do you and do what makes you feel like the best version of yourself.

is not easy to change, not at all… but sometimes you need a kick.
Rachel I am sooooo happy to hear good news from you. And this guy, I don’t know him, but he has ‘kind eyes’
