Found an adorable little spot in Brooklyn that reminded me of home.
You know me, always looking for as many trees in New York as I can find. I love the city, especially Brooklyn, but I was always a nature baby in Michigan. As a child my parents couldn’t get me inside. I would stay outside and run barefoot in the grass until the sun went down and my dad was begging me to come inside.
I went to the Manhattan Vintage show a couple of weeks ago and purchased a few things that also remind me of home. A vintage American made bandana with a Native American print, a vintage Carhartt jacket that actually is small enough for me (!) and this plaid coat to name a few things. This coat is excellent, I’m so glad I found it. It needs a bit of love, it has these sweater sleeves inside that are a bit ripped but I’ll fix it up.
I love how it’s oversized and the sleeves are 3/4. It definitely has an all around vintage feel, and the fringe at the bottom makes it super unique! I can’t wait to wear it all winter.
It warmed up again here, the weather can’t make up its mind so my outfits will probably go back and forth from lots of heavy layers to dresses for a bit hehe.
In this look… vintage plaid jacket, boots c/o Asos and hat from Urban Outfitters.
