Quick NYE Make up!

Sharing my quick and easy make-up for New Years Eve utilizing the EcoTools holiday brush set.

I don’t ever want to pack these little ornaments!

For this look I will be using these two eyeshadow kits – the Kat Von D monarch palette (orange) and Urban Decay naked smoky palette. Plus one other product which is the Revlon Photo Ready liquid shadow in gold and black.

Here is the contents of the EcoTools Festive and Flawless face set. It contains every brush one would need for this NYE look! I have started by priming my face and applying foundation and contouring. I added lipstick as well (Mac Velvet Teddy + a brownish Urban Decay lip liner.)

First I cover my entire lid top and bottom with a mixture of the top 3 lightest shades in the Kat Von D palette using the skinnier longer EcoTools brush.

Then I grabbed the brown mixed with gray in the Kat Von D palette and with one of the smaller EcoTools brushes I dabbed a bit on each outside corner of my lids. After that I used a couple of the shiny midtones in the Urban Decay palette on the middle part of my lids switching between the brush I used first for the lightest shade and kind of switched back and forth between brushes to blend blend blend. This step is really experimental, you have to just keep switching and adding a bit of shade and highlight to get the right blend.

Then I grabbed the two bigger EcoTools brushes to really blend it out. Use them to blend when they are completely clean – this is really important. It’s okay if you have remnants around the eye – I use a beauty blender to dab that out later. You can also use the second large EcoTools brush as a sort of broom to sweep up the fall out.

I then grabbed the Revlon Photo Ready eye art liquid shadow and I put some of the gold on my other clean EcoTools small brush. Just a teeny bit and then I added to build it up. This stuff is hard to fix so start with a small amount and add as you need to. I used this on the middle of my lid and simply dabbed it on. No brush strokes, just dabbing like a sponge almost.

This is what the gold looks like once I dabbed it on! I then also used the smaller brushes again to blend some of the darker and lighter shades in with the gold I just added.

Another shot of the gold. I really like this stuff! I also used a bit of the black on the other side of the Revlon Photo ready, it’s like a glittery black “eyeliner” but with this small EcoTools brush I used that to dab the black on the outside where I put the darkest shadows on earlier to make it even more dramatic.

The shadow is complete, I then added my cat eye liner plus mascara! Et voila!

New Years Eve make up doesn’t have to take a ton of time or be super professional, as long as you have the right tools and about 30 min you can have your lids glowing and beautiful! In this look I used the EcoTools Festive and Flawless brush set. This is a limited edition holiday set so be sure to snatch one up if it appeals to you! The price is right for this brush set. It seriously does everything one would need in a nicely blended eyeshadow look!

I hope this helped you guys as I know sometimes completing a New Years eve look can be stressful. I find myself stressing about it each and every year! I love this brush set and it’s also the perfect size for travel. I can toss it in my make-up bag and go.

Love you guys very much and happy new year! xo
