Plaid on plaid.

One of my favorite looks I have done in a while! Probably because, well… plaid on plaid. Here are my thoughts on mixing patterns and in this case, the same type of pattern!

Mixing patterns can be tricky and in some cases look sort of crazy. Which is totally fine for people trying to go for a more eclectic look. For me since I am fairly subtle I struggle with mixing patterns and I feel as if I did a pretty decent job here! I chose a smaller plaid print dress and wore a much larger check coat that is also a very different hue so that way the two have no chance at being confusing. They are both very different plaids therefore they work well together. These plaids should just get married.

I bought this dress from Sheinside and now I want it in the red color! The cut is everything and it fits me so well. It did come with beads but I took them off because lets be real, I am not that girly.

Love you guys oh so much! The internet has been kind of mean lately. I’m just over here trying to stay positive. I can’t wait to go to Michigan this weekend!

In this look… dress from Sheinside, Topshop beanie and boots, BB dakota coat and scarf from Charlotte Russe.

Yes, you did it marvelous ! Because red % black plaid pattern is so big, no one gets confused. It would be a mistake to put two similar-sized plaids together. That dress is adorable, love them symmetrical !

I love this plaid on plaid look. That dress is so pretty and I think you should definitely get it in the red color as well. Also, I’m so sorry that the internet has been so mean to you. People can be horrible when they are hiding behind a screen. Good for you for staying positive!
