I usually am always attracted to the more muted darker colors of fall and winter but I am going to try really hard this season to branch out into spring with my wardrobe. This dress from In God We Trust helps me accomplish that by providing a lightweight flowy silhouette that isn’t a super vibrant color (like hot pink which I hate, or purple… get purple out of here), so it’s perfect for me!

Unfortunately certain things in my childhood have ruined the bright girly colors such as my old favorite dinosaur friend Barney and his purple bow wearing best friend Baby-Bop. I can’t help but associate the color purple with that and then my family decided to make my bedroom pink as a child with lots of girly accents and all I wanted to do was play hockey with boys and eat worms.

So there’s that! That’s why you’ll never see much of the ~*pretty un1c0Rn girlz c0lorZ*~ on this blog. But I’m gonna have to guess y’all are okay with that since you’re here reading this! 😉

I also got a heart “sweet nothing” necklace from IGWT (which by the way they have a couple of stores in Brooklyn and one in SoHo if you’re ever in NY!). It says Bitch Please, which is perfect. They sell a bunch with different humorous sayings and you can even get one custom engraved to sing your heart song.

Definitely have a little look at their site here for more spring goodies made right here in Brooklyn, NY!

Love,

R.

Love it when you say you want to brighten up your wardrobe –and put on an almost black lipstick, just to balance it all out. That’s staying true!
