Tigernut Horchata.

I’ve always been a big fan of horchata…

I had the pleasure of sampling some new beverages made in Brooklyn: Tigernut Horchata! I’m a sucker for horchata as it is so I was extremely excited to try these out. They come in a variety of flavors, some including: chai, bee pollen, original and coffee. I’m a huge fan of the chai!

The best part (aside from the delicious taste) about these beverages is they are Dairy-free, Gluten-free, Nut-free, non-GMO, USDA Organic. That’s pretty amazing. Instead of being made with tree nuts it’s made with tigernuts which are completely nut-free, gluten free and grain free which makes this horchata universal for different dietary restrictions. I think they have overcome quite a challenge creating a drink that tastes good that everyone can enjoy.

New Yorkers – you have an advantage if you’re looking to try these because they are now available at Whole Foods & Dean & Deluca. Check out Organic Gemini’s website here.

Love,

R.

I had never tried Horchata until I moved to Barcelona. It is so popular here, I’ve seen queues around the block on Sunday afternoons with families waiting with their own containers to take lots of it home for a Sunday treat.
