I was so excited to style a pair of new Dr. Martens, as I have always been a fan of their classic boots. This pair is the one-eyed Siano shoe. I love that it’s more like an oxford. It’s classic and works perfect with tights and a dress or cuffed denim.

The campaign is all about standing for something so I’ve decided to incorporate something more personal into this post.

I chose to shoot this look near graffiti because it reminded me of my art class in high-school. Myself and one of my best friends who was super into graffiti art would always make stencils and use them in our paintings. Of course graffiti is highly frowned upon in schools (especially high schools in the midwest) but this class was extremely special because the teacher understood its relevance to the art world… and that it stood for something. Graffiti artists are sending a message too.

I believe that art is the perfect way to stand for something. You can tell a story or represent a message however you’d like, and its yours. People can take it or leave it.

I’ve been wearing Dr. Martens since I was a child and they’ve been a brand that always stood for something and I love that they’ve made it their message.

Love,

R.

I’ve always loved Dr. Martens, and I really love the style of the pair that you’re wearing. I love that they have a more “girly” feel. I also have to say that these photos are truly beautiful! I love that they help tell a little bit about you.

I like that those hats are big part of your looks most of the time, and this one is not exeption.
About shoes: shoes are interesting, because it’s like an oxford, which are trend now, but in the same time not exactly oxford – something different, not typical.
